I am Elisha Amadasu, an Actuarial Science undergraduate student at DePauw University. Actuarial Science is the study of risk management. Professionals use their actuarial science training to make money in different arenas, from insurance to gaming.
When I look at chess and the large amount of possible positions that arise, I am provoked to study the game. Actuarial Science is a very data science-heavy major, and so I am often modeling the different possible positions I get in the game using algorithmic thinking. This is to better understand why chess is the way it is. Thanks for joining me here!
